How it works

Three steps, and the app does the deciding for you.

No study plan to build, no guessing what to review. Answer questions, and your readiness score tells you exactly where you stand and what to do next.

1

Take the diagnostic

Ten questions across the blueprint set your real starting score in about eight minutes — no self-assessment, no guessing where you stand.

8 minutesSets your baseline
2

Practice in short sessions

Ten-minute sets pulled from your weakest sections. Every answer comes with the reasoning and why each wrong option is wrong — the part that actually moves your score.

3

Level up to Exam Ready

Each section climbs from Novice to Exam Ready as coverage and accuracy build. Mock exam unlock at 70 readiness, so your first full attempt actually means something.

Coverage

Every domain of the EPPP blueprint. Nothing padded.

We mapped all eight EPPP domains from the current content outline, then wrote questions until each one had enough to matter — weighted the way the real exam weights them.

Who writes the questions

Written and reviewed against the current EPPP content outline.

Every question is written and reviewed against the current EPPP content outline by people trained in psychology — then rewritten when the outline changes. If an item is ambiguous, we cut it. That is why the bank is 1,143 questions and not 5,000.

Blueprint-mapped

Each item is tagged to one of the eight EPPP domains before it ever reaches you.

Reviewed, not generated

Questions are drafted by subject reviewers, checked against the current EPPP content outline, and retired when the outline changes.

Explanations first

Nothing ships without the reasoning and a note on why each distractor fails.

Frequently asked

Everything about the EPPP®.

Am I eligible to sit for the EPPP?
Eligibility runs through your state or provincial psychology board, not ASPPB directly. Generally a doctoral degree in psychology is required; once your board approves your application, it creates your profile in the ASPPB registration portal, which emails you access to schedule the exam. Requirements vary by jurisdiction, so start with your board.
How many questions are on the real EPPP?
225 multiple-choice questions with four answer options each — 175 scored and 50 unscored experimental items — with 4 hours 15 minutes to complete it, administered by Pearson VUE. Our full-length mock mirrors the real timing at 4 h 15 min.
What score do I need to pass?
Scores are scaled 200–800. ASPPB recommends 500 for independent practice and 450 for supervised practice, and nearly every state and province uses the ASPPB recommendation — but not all, so check your licensing authority. On average a scaled 500 corresponds to roughly 70% correct, though the exact raw equivalent shifts with each exam form's difficulty.
What about EPPP Part 2 (Skills)?
Part 2–Skills has 170 items (130 scored + 40 pretest) with 4 hours 10 minutes, and you must pass Part 1–Knowledge before you can schedule it. Whether Part 2 is required depends on your jurisdiction — check your board. Changes are also coming to the EPPP in 2027, including a single-session, competency-focused format. This app prepares you for Part 1–Knowledge.
How many times can I retake it?
Candidates can sit the EPPP up to four times in a calendar year, paying the exam fee each time.
How does this app help me pass?
It removes the decision of what to study. The readiness score weighs coverage and accuracy across all eight EPPP domains, then routes each session at your weakest areas. Every answer is explained — including why the other three options fail — so you build the reasoning the exam actually tests.
What do the plans cost?
Monthly is $29.99, charged today and renewed monthly. Weekly is $7.99 — good for a short sprint before your exam date. Annual is $149.99, about $12.50 a month. Every plan unlocks everything: Sage, mock exams, flashcards, Mad Minute, and the readiness score. No tiers, no upsells.
How do I cancel?
Open your account settings and tap Cancel subscription. It takes effect at the end of your current period and you keep access until then. No email, no support ticket.
How does the $100 Pass Bonus work?
  • Open to new subscribers aged 18 or over. Not available if you have subscribed to The Health Exams before.
  • 40 spots are available, first come, first served. Registering does not guarantee a spot — we'll confirm by email whether you're in.

  • You can't claim both the Pass Bonus and the Pass Guarantee for the same exam attempt.
  • We may close registration or end this programme at any time. Anyone already confirmed keeps their spot.
How does the Pass Guarantee work?
  • You must have been an active paid subscriber for at least 60 consecutive days before your exam date.
  • You must have completed at least one full-length mock exam in the app or portal before sitting the real thing.
  • Email your official score report from the awarding body to support@thehealthexams.com within 30 days of your exam date. It must clearly show your name, the exam name, the test date, and the result.
  • Once verified, we add three months of free access to the same exam on your account. We'll confirm by email, usually within two business days.
  • The guarantee provides additional access only. It is not a refund and has no cash value.
  • One claim per person, per exam.
  • Not available on licences issued by an instructor, school, or employer, or on accounts with a prior refund or chargeback.
  • This is separate from our 14-day refund policy, which still applies to new subscriptions.
